I think I am slowly understanding some womens’ obsession with collecting shoes and handbags because I think I have become the Imelda Marcos of camera bags! I have a huge collection of them and thought I’d write a blog about my current bag crush!
I am doing more and more destination weddings, so back in February, before heading to WPPI, I invested in (if I say invested in I can justify the spend) the Airport International V 2.0 Rolling Camera Bag from Think Tank. I looked around for ages for the right bag which would fit on all of the low budget airlines in the UK and after looking at some of the Lowepro Pro-Rollers and lots of online research (read more on Think Tank’s website here) I settled on the Think Tank. The bag is super handy as I can use it when travelling instead of having to use my backpack. It has loads of compartments inside and out that are great for all my camera equipment and it’s a lot easier on my back which is a bonus!

While I initially purchased the bag for my travel assignments, I love the space and portability of it so I’ve also been bringing it to weddings with me and using it as a base for my stuff while I use my Shootsac for the lenses I need for that part of the day. I have been getting a few funny comments from guests though, asking if I’m going on the honeymoon too!
So far I have had no problems taking the bag onto international flights including with Continental, domestic flights in the US, and with Easyjet in the UK. I haven’t tried Ryanair yet so I think they may be where I have a problem. Also, none of the airline’s I have travelled with have weighed the bag yet, so I suspect I may run into problems if they do as it weighs a ton! So if you’re looking for a good bag for your travels I would highly recommend the Airport International!
The next bag I’m after is the Kelly Moore man bag! Some of the proceeds of the bag go towards Thirst Relief which I’m a big supporter of (plus the bag looks really cool!).
