Every so often my girlfriend does a hair shoot and as she acted as my assistant on my Ulster Bride shoot on Monday, I got to return the favour with this shoot during the week. She showcased a range of her favourite looks for the season and it was great fun working with the models and Elaine Simms did an incredible job on the make-up. I had such a laugh shooting Grace and Paddy’s engagement shoot in Fanad last week. It was a very windy day and rain was never far away, but such is Irish weather. During the shoot the couple were non stop laughs and I had to work hard to avoid camera shake! Really looking forward to their wedding in December at Silver Tassie.
Grace and Paddy looked great. I love keeping it natural.

Having worked with Michael in Ernest Jones the Jewellers while at university, I was really delighted when he asked me to capture his marriage to his wonderful bride, Claire. I shot their pre-wedding shoot earlier in the year when I was in Edinburgh for the weekend. Last month I travelled back to Scotland’s capital for their stunning wedding at The Royal Terrace Hotel. In the morning Claire and her bridesmaids got ready in her suite. She looked stunning and when Michael set eyes on her they looked as if they felt like the happiest people in the world. After the service we shot some family photos out the back of the hotel and then I shot the bridal party and the couple having fun. The speeches and the meal were excellent and at the end of the evening we made it outside for some really cool photos of Michael and Claire.
Claire looked incredible.
Michael looked very sharp in his kilt.

In addition to Drenagh, I also exhibited at the Wedding Journal Show, the Derry Journal Wedding Fayre in the Millennium Forum and Redcastle Hotel‘s Bridal event. It been a lot of fun meeting all of the couples and getting feedback on my work. Here’s an image of Sunday’s fashion show at Drenagh Country House.
Last week I had the chance to do a really fun engagement session with Lisa and Mark in Belfast. We met in the Botanic Gardens and explored the park while I captured some images of the couple. Lisa and Mark’s wedding at Galgorm Manor is set to be stunning and while we shot they told me about their plans for the day and for the future. With the cloudy sky beginning to darken, we made our way to the Cathedral Quarter were we explored the lanes around this really cool area of the city.
